Biography
| Wendy Fowler is a self-taught artist and has been creating art as far back as she can remember. Her primary mediums are watercolor, pastel pencils, colored pencils and not afraid to mix up the media with gouache or acrylic. She credits her artistic influences ranging from her father, anime-styled art such as CLAMP, Boris Vallejo, Chris Achilleos, Olivia de Berardinis, Brian Froud, ElfQuest, Jessica Galbreth, Amy Brown and Nene Thomas, just to name a few artists on an extremely long list of favorites. She has always been charmed by the enchanted and mystical realm of fantasy.. Her inspirations spring from a line in a song, an image, Shakespeare, myths, legends and her own sea of imagination. Wendy infuses her creations with a piece of herself and emotions. Wendy is happily married to her mate and they have a wonderful pixie for a daughter. She hopes one day to have a 'little zoo' of animals to add to the magic and mischief already invited into her homestead but until then, she is currently traveling the world with her family; finding pixies, fairies and magic are always crossing her path, be it on a leisure stroll, our in the garden, a sip of tea or reading a book. She enjoys sharing the magic and wonderment that has been sprinkled across her life with others. |
