'Dryad'

I issued an art challenge to my friends on LJ, theme being a "dryad" - deadline today. Have a dryad done in a week however they wanted to do it...crayons, pencil, ink, sketch, colored pencil, etc. - up to them, their work. I procrastinated abit on this. I could of had it done in 2-3 days tops, but drug my feet. Anyway...

This is my dryad. Yes, its not my standard style but I wanted to do something different. Asides from the eyes being WAYYYY tooo darker than I intended, I felt I hit upon something and plan on refining it.

watercolor & colored pencil on Fabriano Classico #5 cotton cold pressed paper, with lavender flowers and plastic wrap to created the textured look.

PS - I don't know why the bottom have of the pic seems slightly in soft focus. I will try and get a better pic when the sun is not too intense and replace the image.
